Grundelhardt Quax "Sabre" Lovingly owned and sadly missed by Karen, John and Tarsha McMahon
Goodbye
Hush my friends, don't cry for me When my time came I went peacefully I suffered little, I felt no pain, I closed my eyes, at ease again. You held my head, and stroked my ears, I felt your gently falling tears, You whispered to me, your soothing tone, Comforting me, I wasn't alone. We talked of all the fun we had, Me Tish and you Mum and Dad, of dots and balls and trips away, of slobber, spit and games we play. I'll always be with you, in your thoughts and heart, My spirit walks with you, we won't be apart. So if its quiet, you think you hear a woof, Don't worry, i's just me, your Sabre, Saby, Boof. I will miss you, but be comforted I'm not alone, Upon this dogstar, lots of 'wuppies' do roam. I know you grieve and mourn my loss But remember me, not what I am, but what I was. I must go now, I'm called away, Grace and Frieda, me and Shadow will play. Farewell my sister, my Dad, my Mum, you wonderful three, I love you, and thank you, my family. Goodbye. (John Mitson, 8th June 2001)
